About the product

Technical details and applications

HBP-E by Kelpen Oil is the highly hydrogenated mineral base oil, API Group III classification — category that gathers bases with viscosity index ≥ 120, saturates content ≥ 90% and sulfur ≤ 0.03%. Variant of even higher purity for demanding applications.

Available in three viscosities — 4 cSt, 6 cSt and 8 cSt — it is the raw material for high-performance synthetic formulations:

  • 100% synthetic engine oils (ILSAC GF-5/6, API SN/SP, ACEA C2/C3)
  • Modern synthetic ATFs (Dexron VI, equivalents)
  • Partial synthetic hydraulics (semi-synthetics with Group III)
  • Premium greases with extended thermal stability

It is the option that combines synthetic performance with cost lower than Group IV (PAO), serving the vast majority of modern applications where the additive package requires purified base.

Applications

  • Formulation of premium 100% synthetic engine oils
  • Modern synthetic ATFs (Dexron VI and equivalents)
  • Semi-synthetic hydraulics with high viscosity index
  • Premium greases with extended thermal stability
  • Base for modern additives sensitive to purity

Advantages

  • API Group III — VI ≥ 120, saturates ≥ 90%, sulfur ≤ 0.03%.
  • 3 viscosities (4, 6, 8 cSt) — covers most formulations.
  • Synthetic performance with cost lower than Group IV (PAO).
  • Compatible with modern additive packages.
