About the product
Technical details and applications
Keen Fluid 22 I by Kelpen Oil is the fluid specifically formulated for the thermoplastic paints used in road markings industry (white and yellow lanes, symbols, arrows painted on asphalt). It acts as plasticizer — regulating the viscosity of the molten compound at the moment of application — and as oxidizing agent — controlling the reactivity of the thermoplastic resin during the thermal cycle.
With viscosity at 40°C of 22.78 cSt, it is dosed at the factory as a component of the formulation or can be used for batch adjustment at the end of production. Compatible with the main thermoplastic resins used in highway markings in Brazil.
Applications
- Formulation of thermoplastic paints for road markings
- Viscosity adjustment of production batches
- Plasticizer component for thermoplastic resins
- Highway horizontal signage industry
Advantages
- Calibrated viscosity (22.78 cSt at 40°C) for the application.
- Plasticizer and oxidizer — dual roles in the compound.
- Compatible with the main thermoplastic resins.
- Reproducible performance batch to batch.
