About the product
Technical details and applications
HBP 11 I by Kelpen Oil is the paraffinic mineral base oil classified within API Group II (hydrogenated). It offers high oxidation stability, a high flash point (around 178 °C) and very low aromatic and sulfur content (~30 ppm), making it a versatile input for formulators.
With a kinematic viscosity of about 10.4 cSt at 40 °C and a viscosity index of ~81, it is used to produce industrial and automotive lubricating oils, greases and other formulations that require a clean, stable base stock. It also serves the sugar-and-ethanol chain and agricultural spraying.
Applications
- Formulation of industrial lubricating oils
- Formulation of automotive lubricating oils
- Production of lubricating greases
- Sugar-ethanol industry and agricultural spraying
Advantages
- API Group II — hydrogenated, clean and stable.
- Low sulfur and aromatics (~30 ppm sulfur).
- High flash point (~178 °C).
- High oxidation stability for demanding formulations.
